Nyah checks out the pacing polar bear.

I liked the elephant's beard :)

Arrrrgh

This time the lions weren't napping!

So cute!

Someday they'll be rock climbing with you, Jenae!

had a hard time getting them away from the safari jeep

crusin' to Africa

I love you, Alec!

Makaylee likes the zebras

Awwww...

Mr. Giraffe was licking the glass right in front of Makaylee's face.

Makaylee teaches Nyah how to play store

fascinated by all the buttons

Orin and Marquez use online instruction books to change his Lego off-roader into a dune buggy

Makaylee has her end-of-season football party

signing the ball for the coach

She wanted to play longer and was so sweet about it but we had to leave early for the AWANA Bible quizzing and awards night.

Makaylee got a ribbon for finishing the 1st book in Sparks. Good job, honey! That was a lot of work!

Where's Waldo?

Marquez finished his book as well and did a great job in the quizzing. I was so proud of him. He works so hard in his AWANA book and I never have to ask him if he's memorized his verses every week. He does it all on his own because he enjoys it.

Will gets a birthday party!

he choose a Transformers theme

all the cousins minus poor Makaylee who was sick

his favorite, a Lego dune buggy

What is it?

racing games are also his favorite

He got a lot of other neat presents but what did he end up carrying around with him the rest of the day? The toys on top of his cake!

Make a wish!

went outside to play with his new Supersoakers- brrrr... mom was a party pooper and wouldn't let him fill them with water
(notice he hasn't put down his cake toys still)

Nyah likes his new Lego sword and Mommy likes that it is foam :)

"Come!" she kept saying to the kitty while waddling after it as fast as her chubby little lets would carry her.

loves his new Lego police car, too

When we get home Makaylee's fever has broke and they all help Will put together his Legos.

Rainy Day

ream of paper + crayons = hours of fun

It was so funny! Makaylee wanted to color the python rainbow but Will wouldn't let her- he already had a color scheme going. So she created her own snake family down there that ended up looking more like a slug family because her space was limited :)

the boys love playing their portables side by side so they can help each other when needed

Will is super excited about his 9th birthday party tomorrow. He said that he's never had a birthday party (can you imagine?) so we're planning a big one with all the cousins. Hope he loves it!

Sunday

On weekends you can usually find us at our kids sporting events, in our backyard, or watching Glenn Beck episodes we had DVR'd that week. Until our adoption loan is paid off, we've been getting pretty good at finding free forms of entertainment.
The kids kept jimmying things to the rings and getting hurt so he put something er, um, "safer" up for them to play on...

It holds a lot of weight and kept them busy the rest of the day!

My sister kept taking pictures of us on our "date". A date nowadays consists of Orin and I on our porch swing watching the kids play in the yard. It sure is fun! Our poor neighbors- the kids sure get loud and carried away :)

Does this man make me look albino? Must be the Cherokee in him.

Makaylee loves the new rope. It sure brings out the tomboy in her.

Marquez uses it to try out skateboarding moves.

"I'm gonna get you, Nyah Noelle!"

so grown up

those eyes melt me

big girl

Daddy's girl

save me, Mommy

gotcha

Yesterday Marquez finished his last school book for the year and is officially done with homeschool! He was so excited to throw away his completed math book he had worked so hard to finish early. Then he proceeded to dance around the kitchen singing "Oh happy day, happy day, I threw my math away!"

He's so happy that he is giddy :)
