Sundays are my favorite

Quote of the day by Makaylee:
When seeing an African-American family at church-(shouting) "Look, there's the Africans!"
"Makaylee, lets not say that."
"But Mommy, they are from Africa aren't they?"
"Well, yes, but its not a big deal. You are half African, too, you know."
"No, I'm not! I came from a tummy!"
(in Makaylee's world you are born from a mommy's tummy or you come from Africa like baby Nyah)

Makaylee and Will playing "house" -all they know how to pretend to do is to talk on the phone and drive. Hmmm, Orin, maybe we do too much of that ;)

Auntie Jenae comes over and we play a game of PIG with Marquez. We get beat by a 5th grader and are humbled once again. Will and Makaylee find the dirt and rocks facsinating... Oh how I love childhood!

all tuckered out

Never tired!

Catching Up

Not only does Nyah want to sit at the big table now, she has to sit on someone's lap- whether or not they are eating.

Had a fun time at Dove Adoption's get together at the Children's Museum. Of course my camera ran out of batteries after one picture so my friend took this one.

Nyah sits with her buddies, Alec and Haven before everyone runs off to play.

Makaylee's flag football season is underway. Here she is getting set up as center to hike the ball.

"Hey Mom, did you see me out there?!"

playing on the sidelines

Nyah really wants to join her sister and keeps yelling Makaylee's name!

went to the park afterward because it was too nice of a day to go back home

Will tries to convince 2 yr. olds to play with him

getting creative

Makaylee has such a sweet spirit- she loves playing with her sister- makes me so happy!

This week

Makaylee made an Easter Egg hunt for baby Nyah

Makaylee had to teach Nyah to put the eggs in her basket because at the real hunt she just wanted to leave her basket and carry one egg in each hand.
